Hi, I would just like to say thank you for visiting my personal blog. Please take just a few minutes to read my story and see how my life has changed for the better. If you find yourself in a similar situation I may be able to help you achieve what I have.
My name is Jodie and I was born and raised in North Wales, UK. I left school at 16 with very few qualifications to work full time in a high street cafe. I was working for less than minimum wage (although I didn’t know this at the time), and working more than what a 16 year old should. Before I left school I had a life, I would spend all of my time with my friends and family, but somehow after a month or so of working I didn’t seem to have any time for them. I was working 8-10 hour days, 7days a week.
Although the money was rubbish and I was treated very poorly I stayed, but after falling out with my boss more than 2 years after starting I finally had the courage to leave.
I managed to land myself a job in a pub around the corner from the cafe, it wasn’t perfect but it was a nice little place and the money was much better. I was happy, I got to spend lots of time with my friends and family and most of all with my new boyfriend Lee.
Myself and Lee got on great, we had met when I was working in the cafe. He was working on a construction site across the road and would come in every day. We connected straight away and best of all, my family loved him. Just one little problem, he lived 30 miles away in Cheshire and I couldn’t drive. The 2 hour bus ride from my house to his was a real pain, so I left my job in the pub and started to work in a shop half way between mine and his.
After a while I moved in with Lee, it was hard at first as I was still away from my family, but over the coming months I passed my driving test and continued to bounce from one job to another. I just couldn’t find a job where I was happy.
I started to work for a company in Liverpool as a support worker for children with autism. I loved this job so much, it was amazing and really rewarding but extremely challenging. Unfortunately this company turned out to be very unprofessional and I was not willing to stand by and let them treat people the way they did. I ended up leaving and becoming a home carer for the elderly. Again rewarding, but not really where I wanted to be.
While I was bouncing from job to job Lee was working 12-14 hour days in all kinds of weather on construction sites. We hardly got to see each other and we were both miserable. We just kept at it, Lee would always promise me that one day we would make it and find a way out of this life, I must admit I was doubtful. Whenever he wasn’t working he would be sat at the PC looking for a better way of life.
One day whilst I was in work Lee called, “Don’t go mad, but I have just spent $5,000 from one of the credit cards on a home based business”. I couldn’t believe it, we didn’t even have $5,000 to spend so how could he do this? I was furious. I didn’t believe we could do this, we had no computer experience and no money so what type of business was this? I gave him the benefit of the doubt and stood by him, but none of us had the time to put into it.
Months passed and we still had not done anything on it, we simply did not have the time it was a waste of time and money that we did not have. I called our mentor to ask for our money back, only the refund period had passed as we had left it too long. I must have sounded really rude and very arrogant, I didn’t mean to be, I was just very upset that we had thrown away $5,000.
We either had to call it a loss and give up or knuckle down and make it work. We both got stuck in right away, we each had our own roles and focussed hard on them. It had to work.
After a few weeks, I became unwell (or so I thought). I started passing out, being sick and was always tired. I went to see the doctor and she confirmed it, I was pregnant! Now we had no choice, this had to work, I didn’t want to bring my child into a world of debt and struggle. I couldn’t keep up working 60-80 hour weeks, I needed to take care of my health for my baby’s sake. Then at the end of our 1st month of hard work we had made our $5,000 back, we were so happy but didn’t touch it, just put it back into the business to help make us more money.
Now, our little baby girl Francesca is here and we have never been happier. We are making more money working from home full time than both of our salaries combined. All I keep thinking is how much we could have been earning now if we had have got stuck in straight away. I still apologize to Lee from time to time for not believing in him sooner. I wish I had had more faith in him, I will never doubt him again.
Now our goal is to become millionaires by 2012, we will. 3 years is more than enough time with this company. We now spend our time helping others to achieve their goal. If you have the faith that I didn’t have and are willing to work hard at achieving your goals, then we will devote our time to helping you get to where we are today or higher. You do not have to invest the $5,000 that we did, it is not essential but it will help your business grow. Please go to http://thehighpower.com and consider what we have to offer.
